Senior Pastor's Community Letters
New Year Greetings from the Senior Pastor
January 1, 2021
January 1, 2021
Dear Seattle's Heavenly Parent's Holy Community, Blessed Central Families, Brothers and Sisters,
HAPPY PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2021 to all of you!
We had a very successful Appreciation Program for Rev. and Mrs. Krishnek last Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Ballard Church. It was followed by a luncheon meeting at Windermere house. Also, we were able to have a beautiful welcome dinner for our new Sub-region 5 Director Rev. and Mrs. Thompson together with Rev. Tengan (District 12 Pastor) and Jennifer Pierce (SR 5 Secretary General) on Saturday, December 26, 2020. A number of our community leaders joined me that night in welcoming them and we also had a wonderful discussion on how we can move forward in our local providence that night.
Victory happens through our united efforts. I would like to thank all of you for your support and I would like to give special mention to the following:
1. District Pastor and Mrs. David Ryan for the overall support, guidance and supervision
2. Mr. Ray McCready for coordinating the program preparation and serving as MC on the actual day of program.
3. Rev. Nelson Mira for drafting the program, designing the banner, ushering and taking the photos
4. Mrs. Chieko Granstrom and the Granstrom family and other Windermere residents for the wonderful accommodation and meals they prepared for our guests.
5. Mr. Ricardo Reyes for cleaning and preparing Ballard Church.
6. Mrs. Satomi Mira, Mrs. Takako Kawamura, Mrs. Kazuko Ishiyama, our Japanese sisters for preparing the food (the soup and Bento boxes for lunch).
7. Mr. Elijah Lancey for the technical support
8. Mr. Brian Granstrom and his band for the music
9. Miss Misun Mira for checking the temperature of attendees
10. Mrs. Eva Maria Taylor for the flowers
11. Mr. and Mrs. Lancey for handing the flower offering
12. And all our speakers and attendees
While we had a joyful celebration for the Krishneks last Sunday, some of the other families have had quite a struggle. The Frisk family had to battle with COVID 19 and Howard had to be taken to the ER. Some of our GPA members also tested positive for COVID 19 and are being extra careful not to transmit the virus to their families while enduring the symptoms. Then I learned on Wednesday that Mr. David Rogers had a mild stroke on Sunday.
I've requested for prayers from our general membership through our Facebook group and our Leadership team. I am truly grateful for the outpouring of support from our members and I can tell that love is flowing in our community. I would like to give a special commendation to our sister Mrs. Hiroko Sato who voluntary went to drop off to the Frisk family ginseng, fresh fruits and vegetable soup on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Hiroko oneesan, you truly have touched the heart of our sister Penny with your act of love.
Today is the first day of the new year 2021. What are we looking ahead for this year? Our goal for 2027 and prayer points for North American Region has been set and they are as follows:
1. True Mothers Health and Safety
2. 120K + Morning Devotion Viewers
3. 1000 + Holy Communities with 43 members (this can be online communities)
4. 30K + Single Blessing Candidates
5. 144K + Cheonbo Clergy
6. 124M Rally of Hope Attendees (1/3 of world population)
7. Heavenly Unified Korea
8. Contributing $10M to world missions
Big number, big goals. But as our leadership team under the guidance of Dr. Chung Sik Yong and President Naokimi Ushiroda break down these goals by year and by sub-region and taking into consideration the present membership that we have, these goals and numbers are not impossible to achieve. They are doable. It is my hope that we can be united in our prayers and take things step by step with sincere devotion and utmost determination.
Our sister Noriko Fisher, ACLC - Washington coordinator is taking the first step to work on our goals. She is holding the first ACLC outreach meeting for this year 2021. It will be tomorrow, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM. If you are interested in outreach to other churches and their ministers/pastors, please join her in this meeting (link is the same as our Sunday Service zoom link). In the coming days UPF, HTM and other ministries will also be announcing their activities too. Please stay tuned.
I would like to close here. I hope to see you on Sunday for our local Sunday Service online (no in person service) at 11:00 AM via zoom and Facebook live.

Community Letter # 5
October 23, 2020 Friday
October 23, 2020 Friday
Dear Seattle’s Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community,
I hope you all had a good week! Last week during our National Sunday Service online, as well as during Tuesday TribeNet call, we had the opportunity to thank and say goodbye to Rev. Demian Dunkley and Dr. Ki Hoon Kim. Rev. Demian Dunkley will soon leave for Asia to serve as regional president for Asia Pacific 1. Bishop Ki Hoon Kim will assume a newly created position by our True Mother called Cheun Eui Won Chairman and also become chair of the promotion committee for World Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC).
The change of leadership was quite unexpected for all of us. Probably you are wondering how things are going to be under our new leader. But as Dr. Kim and Rev. Dunkley advised us to do, let us all trust our True Mother’s direction and give our utmost support to our new regional President for Heavenly North America Dr. Chung Shik Yong, former Continental Director for Heavenly Asia Pacific. Please let us all give him a warm welcome by attending this Sunday, October 25, 2020, the National Sunday Service when we will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Yong deliver his first Sunday Service message for all of us.
Locally, we are also having a change of leadership in some of our ministry and committee. As I have mentioned in the past week, Miyuki Granstrom will be our new Youth Pastor. Miyuki will be supported by Miwa Couweleers and other volunteer staff.
At this point, I would like us to express our gratitude and appreciation to Yuto Ohki who had served as Seattle Family Church Youth Ministry staff and later coordinator for more than two years. Yuto told me that he had been very busy the past months and asked to take a break from the youth ministry. As one of the parents whose children had been part of the youth ministry during those years of Yuto’s service, I have witnessed his dedication and sacrifice for our children. So Yuto, I hope you can read this message. Thank you very much for the love and care you gave to our children.
The changes in the other ministry and committee leadership, I will be announcing them in the coming weeks.
In closing, let me share True Mother’s word: “Please proclaim with pride- let the world know that you are proud sons and daughters of True Parents.”
God bless you all!
Sincerely,
Rosie Dijan Muyongo/Senior Pastor

Community Letter #4 Report on completion of 1st 40 days, etc
September 18, 2020 Friday
September 18, 2020 Friday
Dear Seattle's Heavenly Parent's Holy Community, Blessed Central Families,
I hope that you are all well when this letter of mine reach you. I know that it has been sometime since my last community letter and many things had happened since then.
For one thing, I completed my first 40 days as Seattle's Senior Pastor last September 10, 2020. I had a great experience working with our community through Peace Road 2020, the 1st Online Peace Starts with Me Rally, the Rally of Hope and the interactive participation of our community to the True Father's 8th year Seonghwa Anniversary. Also, I had 3 opportunities to deliver Sunday message during the month of August. Each event/occasion made me realize the kind of dedication each of you have to our Heavenly Parents and True Parents and your sincere longing to attend them. I cannot help but be grateful for all your support in the activities we had. Many of you offered their time praying, some offered their time in actual preparation for the events and I believe everyone is continuously giving your tithes and donations as well as special holiday offering. I know that Heaven receives all that we are offering. And I am praying that we all be blessed a thousand fold more so that we can give more. I don't know exactly how each and everyone of you are doing. But my prayer is that our whole community will be well and be good and responsible recipients of Heaven's blessings. In the past 40 days, I was able to speak with only a few of you in person and some others over the phone. Through these representative families I have conversed with, I felt the warm reception from this community. Also, they provided me initial insights on where and how our community is. However, I know I still need to meet and hear from the rest of our community so I intend to continue in reaching out in my second 40 days condition which I began on September 16, 2020.
To give you update on where we are headed to providentially, there are a couple of directions recently shared by Rev. Dr. Ki Hoon Kim from our True Mother
1. That the American membership should reach out to the President of the country and arrange a meeting with True Mother.
2. That we should educate and raise up our ACLC pastors, ministers and other religious leaders so that they can testify about our True Mother, the only begotten daughter of God.
I would like to encourage you to pray about these points and for our Seattle's Heavenly Parent's Holy Community to be creative and find ways to be able to take action in fulfilling our True Mother's directions. In addition, please pray for me your pastor, so that Heaven can work through me and I can effectively lead and guide our community.
Also, please let us invite our family and friends to join Peace Starts with Me online Rally on September 21, 2020 @ 3:00 - 4:30 pm PST and for the 2nd Rally of Hope on September 26, 2020 @ 6:00 - 8:00 pm PST
In case you have not done it yet and you want to offer donation for True Father's 8th year Seonghwa anniversary, donation link is still available at familyfed.org . It will be open until the end of this month.
For other news and announcements, please check the weekly updates which is emailed by Pastor Nelson Mira on Saturday morning.
God bless you all!
