Join us to promote our founders' vision of the International Highway Project

ABOUT PEACE ROAD

Saturday, July 25, 2015 
10:00 AM - 10:45 AM  - Bicycle Tour
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM  - Peace Gathering / Barbecue

The Seattle Peace Road celebration will be held on the morning of Saturday, July 25. It will begin at 10:00 AM with a gathering in the beautiful Magnuson Park on the shore of Lake Washington in Northeast Seattle. A 3.7 mile bicycle trek will commence through the grounds of the park to the historic Windermere Mansion.

At 11:00 AM, a program will be held at the Windermere Mansion with greetings and endorsements from local leaders and sponsors, followed by a presentation on the vision and objectives of the Peace Road Initiative. Lunch will be served, followed by time for fellowship and networking. The celebration will end at 1:00 PM.

Schedule:

10:00 AM 
  • Bikers gather at the Magnuson Park 
  • Photo ops with banner

Magnuson Park address: 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115

  • Bikers starts cycling towards Windermere Mansion. 
ROUTE:
  • Starts - Magnuson Park Lakeshore Promenade- Bikers assembly area)  >>> Lake  Shore Dr NE >>> NE 65th St >>> Burke-Gilman Trail >>> Sand Point Way NE >>> NE Windermere Rd 
  • Finish - Windermere Mansion 6601 NE Windermere Rd
Estimated length of time: 30 minutes, depending on traffic and bikers' pace.

Liability waiver required to join the bike tour. Please press here to print it out. Please turn-in waiver at the site. Forms also available at the site.
Please don't forget to wear your helmet.
If you need someone to pick up your bike in the South area, please contact Gerhard Wiesinger, 206-271-0706, he will drive a pickup truck to pick up your bike on Friday evening and bring it to Magnuson Park on Saturday morning. If you have a bike to lend, please let him know also.
