Young Adults Network Development Meeting
With Ms. Tasnah Moyer
We would like to invite our young adults to this Saturday gathering at Windermere house. This gathering is only for young adults FFWPU Unificationists. Tasnah will be delivering a sermon this Sunday, December 11th at church, anyone can meet with her at church whenever she is available.
Tasnah is from Philadelphia. She works part time at the National HQS to develop the STF GPA Alumni Association. She has her own event and wedding planning business. Has been working with youth and education programs, such as GPA, youth ministry, young adults - for the last 6 years; something she cares about deeply. Her purpose of visiting Seattle Family Church is to support an initiative from the National HQS to develop a Youth and Students Department, and to engage and connect with our local young adult community.

Purpose:
* Mother has recently initiated a National Youth and Students Department here in America focused on empowering, supporting, and educating our young people. One area that we recognize has been largely underserved is the young adult community. Thus, we're exploring steps to develop a Young Adult Community network to offer support and resources for local efforts.
* As the department is only just forming, the first step we're taking is to do a tour of different districts and connect to the young adults, their pastors, and any mentors vested in their growth
* The goals of the tour:
- Connect to the young adults more personally
- Get a sense of what young adult activities/initiatives already exist
- Explore what issues each community is facing/what needs aren't being met and possible take steps towards tackling them on a local level. Also discuss what resources could be provided on a national level, or through a network with other communities
- Connect with one rep per district that would be a liaison as we develop this department
- Our intention is that this tour can help inform and direct the purpose, objectives, and projects of the department
Tasnah would also love to meet with any of the STF GPA grads (maybe over a meal) and share some of the progress with the Alumni Association and also get ideas on how to support alum as they transition back to their communities. She will be staying at Windermere house from December 8-15, 2016. She will be available for our young adults to meet, details about her schedule TBD.
Please invite your young adults to come. (Dinner will be served.)
